State quota — key rules
- State quota reservations are set by each state — percentages and categories differ from AIQ.
- Domicile rules vary: some states require 10+ years of residence, others require study in that state.
- OBC certificate for state quota may differ from OBC-NCL for AIQ — check state's own OBC list.
- Category certificates must be issued by the state's competent authority.
- Minority quota seats (linguistic/religious) have separate criteria per college.
- Management and NRI quota are managed by individual colleges — not by MCC or state authorities.
